Saturday, Dec. 14, 1-5 p.m. “Gone with the Wind” premiered 80 years ago on December 15, 1939 at the Loew’s Grand Theater in Atlanta with more than 300,000 people attending. Celebrate the anniversary with a special screening, and get there early for a prelude of the original score by Ron Carter on The Strand’s Mighty Allen Theatre Organ—and door prize drawings. Forest Family Fridays: Solar Viewing and Sun Weaving Craft at Big Trees Preserve

Friday, Dec. 13, 9-10:30 a.m. On one of the shortest days of the year (in terms of sunlight) and weather permitting, a Sandy Springs naturalist will set up a telescope so we can safely view the sun—and even see sunspots. Enchanted Woodland Wonderland
